Ok so with this one I may be a little biased, this is one of my favorite spots in the area.  From the first visit, this place was a 10 plus.  From the "Super Reuben" to "Oscars Garbage Bowl" (Hot Roast Beef and grilled onions on a mound of crinkle cut fries, smothered in brown gravy), the Chicken Cordon Blue Sandwich to the "Dumbrowski" (two hot dogs, fries and a drink), everything is top notch. True New York sized sandwiches, 58 says "If you finish -We may a mistake!"  The sandwiches are huge and may seem pricey but trust me your getting at least two meals out of them, its worth it.  They have your classic deli fair, Knishes, Matzo ball soup, Egg Creams, etc....  But they have their own special creations too, "The Triple D" (roast beef, turkey, corned beef, cole slaw and Russian dressing on rye) and the "Mighty Reuben Burger" (basically a Reuben sandwich on a Jumbo Burger).  The waitstaff is always helpful and the owner Jeff makes his rounds checking on you too.  They even serve Breakfast and the portions or just as big.  Their desserts are a stellar too, cheesecakes from the actual "Carnegie Deli" in New York.  And they have their own homemade desserts too.  (Here is a tip, order your dessert to go and its a dollar cheaper and since you will have no more room in your belly, its a win win.)  When you become a regular customer, you become like family (you might even get your picture on the back wall, see if you can find me and my dad.....).  I have taken many people there and it is always a home run.  They also have a large private room in the back that you can reserve called "The Kibitz Room". Its great for a Family get together.  So if you can't tell, I love this place and look forward to "Noshing" there again soon.

I just had to add: One of my favorites is their bowl of chili, loads of chunky meat and beans swimming in a delicious tomato based broth. Try it with a couple of dogs and a creamy red birch beer. You will not leave hungry. I agree with everything my son has said, it is one of our favorite places. They also have a great char grilled skirt steak, either as a sandwich or a platter.

  1. This is a cool place. The portion sizes are insane though. It should so be voted to be on Man vs. Food or that Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

  2. I couldn't agree more. The food is fantastic and the service is very good. The only drawback is that when it is crowded you feel like you are sitting shoulder to shoulder.
